Wow, can you believe that it has already been over three months since we were basking in the warm sun on the deck at Silver Meadow Camp? Time sure does fly!

As most of you are aware, 2011 was my last year as camp director. After 5 years at the helm, it is time to hand the reins over to another. My time spent as director was fabulous; I loved spending time with each of you at camp, both campers and workers. Each year brought new challenges and new rewards and memories never to be forgotten.

Over the years I have had so much support behind me, which really was the reason camp was possible year after year. To all those volunteers who gave of their time and energy, once again your commitment is truly appreciated.

So as one director steps back, another step forward. Jenny Pasanen has graciously agreed to take over as director of Silver Meadows Camp. Jenny has spent the last few years volunteering at camp as a councillor and most recently as the Apprentice Program mentor. Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious and her commitment to Silver Meadows camp as a Christ-centred and safe place is unwavering.

As we head into the winter months and later into the spring camp planning season, stay turned to hear more from Jenny about all the camp news and exciting activities etc.
